Bio & B Italyke
Bio & B is a quiet, comfortable and relaxing place to stay slightly outside Viterbo, but is also a boutique hotel with a distinct focus on sustainable practices. This is actually one of my favorite places to stay in Viterbo, where I regularly book a room.
The wood-clad guest rooms are decorated with natural materials; many of these peaceful, light-filled rooms overlook the property’s lush garden. Breakfast here is the perfect way to start your day exploring the surrounding region, while the local owners are brimming with helpful information and tips for your trip.
The location of this Viterbo hotel is tranquil, being set in a quiet, rural neighborhood far from the center of the city. Nearby rustic restaurants and the chance to take part in olive picking, among other countryside activities, is all the bonus of staying here.
Palazzo Riario
Situated in the heart of Viterbo, this hotel is set inside a 16th-century property. The entire building has made full use of its historical credentials, with period features such as high beamed ceilings and large windows adding charm to the building. Le Antiche Terme
For travelers who enjoy spending time out in nature, this is the perfect Viterbo hotel. It’s close to Viterbo, but it is far away enough from the town that you get some peace and quiet; but restaurants are still within a mile or two of the property.
The chalets themselves provide a pleasant place to stay. There’s lots of attention to detail that’s gone into the furnishings, and there are also lovely views across the countryside to soak up. It’s a romantic setting. Breakfast (served each morning) is made from locally sourced ingredients.
B&B La Lanterna
This rustic, old-world property is situated among the sights of central Viterbo. It’s a great location: from here, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and city parks just a short stroll away. Warm and rustic, yet in the midst of the city, this B&B has a selection of rooms with bucketfuls of historic character and charm; being set in a centuries-old building, period features abound.
One particularly good bonus for those on a road trip is the private parking available – something of a rarity in the middle of a city where streets are incredibly narrow and almost impossible to navigate. Another plus is the large breakfast on offer each morning, included in the price of your stay.

B&B Piazza del Gesù

B&B Centro Storico Viterbo
If you want to stay right in the heart of the city during your trip to Viterbo, then look no further than the aptly named B&B Centro Storico Viterbo. The location puts you within easy striking distance such as the Parco del Paradosso, the Largo Guglielmo Marconi (near which you’ll find plenty of parking spots), as well as a wide choice of cafes and restaurants.
As well as being affordable, the property is clean and well maintained. Rooms here feel homely and come with added extras such as coffee machines and snacks, which you can enjoy in your very own seating area. Each room also features a sparklingly modern private bathroom. There’s also a shared kitchen and lounge for guests to use if you need to keep within budget.
Guest House S. Caterina
This clean and modern budget guest house in Viterbo is an ideal place to stay in the city if you’re looking to save money. The location is convenient. It’s within walking distance to the historic center of the city; from here you’ll be able to reach local parks, the Largo Guglielmo Marconi and a number of eateries.
Back at the property, guests can relax in modern rooms that are compact yet comfortable, and surprisingly stylish, too. Rooms are soundproofed, and come with air-conditioning and private bathrooms. This holiday home is a fantastic base for a family or a group traveling in the Tuscia region. The large and comfortable home has two bedrooms and enough room to sleep up to four people. If you feel like staying in a charming, historic property on your Viterbo trip, try this apartment on for size. Set in a Medieval building in the heart of the city, this place is a real gem of a property, and is the perfect size for spending a few days or a week in the city. There’s even a small walled garden. The attention to detail from the hosts, including all the essentials you’ll need, make this a great option.
There are features such as a power shower and a large comfortable bed, making guests feel like they’re staying in a home away from home. A bonus of staying here is that the hosts also own a pasticceria (pastry shop), just a short walk from the house. The property is one-bedroom, making it great for couples; pets are also allowed.
Alloggio Turistico Hipster House
A hipster hangout in the middle of Viterbo, this apartment boasts vintage decorations, rustic design details and modern amenities. Location-wise it’s very convenient. You’ll find this apartment in the heart of Viterbo, specifically in the Centro Storico near Viterbo’s historic quarter of San Pellegrino. Staying here means you’ll never be too far from sights or eateries.
Domus Tuscia Apartments
This large, two-bedroom apartment has enough room to fit up to four guests, making it great for a small family or group of friends. The property features a gleaming bathroom, a relaxed dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen. There’s also the bonus of a sunny roof terrace – perfect for dinners on warm summer evenings or morning coffee.
The apartment itself takes up space in a historic building. That means you can expect features such as exposed stone walls, but modern additions such as design-focused staircases and minimalist furnishings.
