Are you looking for the best way to get from EZE Airport to Buenos Aires? You’ve come to the right place!
There are so many amazing things to do in Buenos Aires and, of course, endless activities in Argentina overall. But the very first step is likely to get from the airport in Buenos Aires to your first accommodation.
Buenos Aires has two airports. One is Ministro Pistarini International Airport, also known as Ezeiza Airport (or EZE Airport). It is about an hour’s drive from the center of town and is very well connected to the rest of the world. Your international flight will land there.
The other is Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, locally known as Aeroparque, and it is located in Palermo. It connects Buenos Aires to the rest of the country, though there also are some international flights.
Ezeiza airport is about 32 km (20 miles) from the center of Buenos Aires, but luckily, it is well connected to the city. There are several ways to get from EZE Airport to city center: buses, shuttle buses, Ezeiza Airport taxis, private Ezeiza Airport transfers, Uber, or Cabify.
Unfortunately, there is no metro or train connecting Ezeiza Airport to Buenos Aires, so your only public transportation option is the bus.
Depending on how you decide to travel from Ezeiza to Buenos Aires, on traffic, and where you go in Buenos Aires, it will take you between 35 minutes and 2 hours to get to town.

How To Get From EZE Airport To Buenos Aires
If you’re wondering how to get from Ezeiza to Buenos Aires, you have five main options. Let’s review each of them to find the best EZE Airport transportation route for you. The easiest route is from Ezeiza Airport to city centre, but it’s possible to get anywhere in the city from the airport.
By Public Bus
If you are traveling cheaply, the best way to get from EZE Airport to downtown Buenos Aires is by bus. Bus line 8 goes all the way from the airport to Plaza de Mayo or Congress, and tickets are less than $1 USD. The journey can last up to 2 full hours, and the bus can be very crowded.
By private or shared transfer
This is by far the easiest, most comfortable way of getting from Ezeiza to Buenos Aires, especially if you have luggage. When booking, all you have to do is prompt your arrival time, the terminal, and your address in town. Once you land, you will receive a text to confirm that the driver is waiting for you with a nameplate.
Most drivers speak some English and will help you carry your suitcase to the car, so you won’t have to worry. You can even have a small conversation or ask for information about the city.
These are the best transfer services from the airport:
- You can book your private transfer from EZE Airport to the city center via Welcome Pickups.
- You can also book this Private transfer from Buenos Aires airport. It’s not the cheapest option, but it’s definitely the most comfortable.
- Finally, you could book a Transfer To Or From Airport ahead of time from EZE Airport to Buenos Aires. This is the highest-rated option, and since it’s shared, it’s more affordable.
By shuttle bus
Another convenient way of getting from EZE Airport to Buenos Aires is by shuttle bus.
The good news is that shuttle buses are very convenient (prices vary from as little as $4 USD to $12 depending on where you stop and how much luggage you have).
On the other hand, the issue is that they have a set number of stops and won’t take you to your door, so you have to carefully pick where to get off. From there, you can either take a taxi, walk, or use the bus or metro (for which you will need to get a SUBTE card) to reach your final destination.
Various companies are available to get from Ezeiza to Buenos Aires. I am highlighting the most popular below.
MANUEL TIENDA LEON—If you want to opt for a shuttle bus instead of a private transfer, this is not the best way to get from Ezeiza to Buenos Aires. It’s a bit more expensive than the other shuttle buses (expect to pay up to $13.50 USD) and runs daily every 30 minutes. The last stop is in Tienda Leon’s terminal in Retiro (from where you will need to make your way to your final destination). For that price, you can probably get a private transfer, which will be way more comfortable. Tienda Leon also goes to Aeroparque.
MINIBUS EZEIZA—This is another cheaper option (it can be as cheap as $15 USD), depending on how much luggage you have. It also runs every 30 minutes. It only runs from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., so it’s not the best option if you’re landing late at night.
AEROBUS EZEIZA—It’s similar to Minibus Ezeiza in terms of prices and running times. It’s not as popular as Minibus Ezeiza, but still another reliable option to travel from EZE Airport to the Buenos Aires city center.
By taxi
Taxis are another good way to get from EZE Airport to Buenos Aires. They are just outside the arrivals terminal—just wait in line to get yours.
The price of a ride from the airport to your final destination should be between $20 and $30 USD—it’s a fixed price, and it actually is in USD because the country’s inflation rate is so high that prices in Argentine Pesos would rise too often otherwise. Taxi Ezeiza is the most reliable company.
By Uber or Cabify
You can get an Uber from EZE Airport, and it gets easier by the day. However, not too long ago there were some major issues.
Although Uber operates in Buenos Aires, it is a bit more complicated to use. There was a chaotic battle between Uber drivers, local authorities, and taxi drivers. It got to the point that Uber users have been adopting a series of tricks to cover up the fact that they are using Uber—things like sitting in the front seat, memorizing the car license plate number and model, paying cash, etc.
A better option is Cabify – which is just an app through which you can book a regular cab service. It’s cheaper than hauling a taxi from the street and works pretty much like Uber.
Uber and Cabify can’t pick you up where the other taxis go. There’s actually no designated pick-up spot (or a Buenos Aires Ezeiza Airport drop off location), so it’s also a little confusing to find your car. However, there are usually a lot of other people calling an Uber or Cabify, so you can normally find the crowd and look at your map to find your Buenos Aires Ezeiza Airport pickup spot.
Another disadvantage is that you’ll need to make sure you have internet access to call your Uber and keep track of it. This can be a pain unless you already have a SIM card with data, as the airport WiFi likely won’t reach where you have to go to meet the Uber.
Uber and Cabify should cost around $15-$25 USD from the airport to Buenos Aires. However, the price can vary greatly depending on the time, amount of people, and day of the week.
The exact travel time and easiest method may vary depending on where you’re staying in Buenos Aires, as well. If you haven’t already chosen the neighborhood for your Buenos Aires trip, make sure to read my article, A Complete Guide To Where To Stay In Buenos Aires.

Driving in Buenos Aires can be really intense, though, as there’s a lot of traffic, foreign road signs, and other rules you might not be familiar with.
If you do decide to rent a car, I recommend Discover Cars. You can choose from a large selection of cars, styles, and various prices. It’s one of the best international car rental tools. I’ve used it several times in many different countries, and it’s effortless.
